The Ebay feedback system

The eBay feedback system is a topic that books are written on.  It is designed to build trust within the eBay community amongst the various users but it is far too easily manipulated and creates a false sense of security.  People have the ability to read a buyer or seller based upon the transaction and now as a result of the new eBay feedback page buyers can rate sellers on such items as shipping time shipping cost description accuracy and other things.  As a general rule of Tom if a seller has a feedback of more than several hundred with a feedback rating of more than 98% chances are you have little to worry about.  I always suggest using PayPal to pay for your purchases as I have found that a smart consumer always should have recourse while dealing with other individuals on the Internet.  While most transactions are safe and secure there always are going to be scam artists and unscrupulous individuals looking to steal your money.  Next thing you should be worried about his new users.  While I certainly would not want to discriminate against users based solely on the fact that they are new to eBay they often will I have auctions galore for lower prices as eBay buyers usually tend to be more worried about new users then existing users who are familiar with eBay system.  It also want to keep in mind that you stand a greater likelihood of being left a negative feedback by a newer eBay user as they are either opened up another account or are not familiar with the procedures that most eBay users have come to take for granted.  As a buyer you have very little to worry about when it comes to the subject of feedback as most sellers are more than willing to take your money.  Most sellers simply look for NAB eBay user to have a feedback percentage that's fairly decent.
